Huron is less than 10 miles east of the Sandusky Light, which makes it an easy sail for a day or overnight stay.
The Huron Boat Basin is a great facility. A number of restaurants surround the Basin, and the Huron Yacht Club is next door.
An ampitheater is located adjacent to the Boat Basin. When Akron Power Squadron held a rendezvous in Huron in 1999, there was a concert featuring a great country-western singer. In addition to Saturday night concerts, they show movies on Wednesday nights, and have Special Events throughout the summer.
